I Heart… Barbie Dream House
I’ve been feeling a bit nostalgic lately. I’ve compiled a playlist in my iTunes of music from the 90′s and have been listening to it non-stop all day (Aqua, M2M, Spice Girls… anyone?) – basically, the music I grew up on. I guess it was kind of suiting when I stumbled upon the Barbie Dream House since Barbies pretty much defined my childhood. My most favourite thing to do was set up elaborate houses for my Barbies. Playing with Barbies? Bah! Not a concept I was familiar with. I just liked making them houses/mansions. XD
This Barbie Dream House was designed by, to steal the catch-phrase of Top Design, “iconic potter and stylist” Jonathon Adler (♥) and is pretty much the embodiment of everything I would have dreamed my Barbie houses could have been: glamorous, sparkling, cheerful, bright, funky, and, of course, pink. While this is definitely not a style I would choose to put in my actual home (a little too wild for me), it has a lot of really fun elements that take me back to my childhood.
