Monthly Mixtape… Fluorescent Sunshine Yellow, Please

Welcome to my very first Monthly Mixtape post! :D Music is a super duper huge part of who I am and what I love, so I’m super excited about this! And I hope everyone else will enjoy the tunes as much as I enjoyed putting them together.

This month I’m dedicating my mix to summer. Carefree days, reading on the grass, sand in your toes, sunburns on your nose, fireworks, salty ocean waves, lemonade, ferris wheels, sun dresses, the smell of sunscreen… The lyrics don’t necessarily talk about summer explicitly, but the music itself evokes that cheery summery mood to me. :)

And just a quick reminder re: downloading music… Remember that these tunes are for sampling purposes only and according to some law with a fancy name that I forget but is all legit and scary and stuff, all things downloaded must be deleted within 48 hours. :)

Ooh, looks good! Will download, even though I am in the middle of winter. Will give me hope for summer to eventually arrive! <3

Ah, perhaps next month I should do a winter mix for my pals down-under! ;D I hope the ‘summery’ inspired tunes will at least provide some cheer. :D

Oh, I adore you…! I’ve always been aware of your sense of color and design, but now music?! Holy mackerel…I love it! I didn’t even have to listen to the songs (though I will, I own most of them) to get an appreciation for how you meshed the songs to fit the pictures…perfectly.

This is great, I look forward to much more of this! :) Well done.

Thank you for sharing these, I didn’t know most of them (I’m practically listening only to movies soundtracks). They really made me think of summer and beautiful things :) Oh and that Beatles song… just love it.
