I Heart… ‘Into the Woods’

What’s this? I’ve fallen in love with a fashion interpretation of a fairy tale? You’ve got to be kidding me. Krissy? Fashion? Fairy tales? Never!

Yeah, yeah, I’m really quite obvious in my loves of fashion and fairy tales. So obvious, in fact, that I think you all would have been terribly shocked and appalled if I hadn’t posted this shoot from the September issue of Vogue. Speaking of which, going to take a little side step here and ask – has anyone seen The September Issue documentary yet? Personally, I’m dying to! Anna Wintour is my god. Or no, wait. Karl Lagerfeld is. No, Anna Wintour. Or both. Always both. When in doubt, pick both. It’s the best option, I assure you. In all seriousness though, Karl Lagerfeld – please adopt me.

Anywhoodle, now that I’ve thrown any sense of dignity to the wind, where was I? Ah yeah, fashion inspired by fairy tales. You can never go wrong in this department. In my books, the combination of high fashion and fairy tales is a match made in heaven. I could gush further on why – really, I could, and it would be all sorts of fantastical! Don’t believe me? Please refer to Exhibit A, and Exhibit B – but I’ll spare you all the 100 page novel and simply divert your attention to the stunning pages below in all their glory. Little Red Riding Hood takes a walk on the wild side. And by wild side, I mean fashionable side. I just couldn’t think of anything clever and fitting to say. So I went with semi-clever-but-also-really-cheesy. Cheese works for me. I accept the cheese, I embrace the cheese, and I go with the cheese. No use fighting nature, my friends.
