I Heart… Karen Walker (Spring 2010 RTW)
I’d be lying if I didn’t say I haven’t been semi-religiously watching Fashion TV over the last few days. Since I’ve had the house to myself, it means reverting to old bad habits like eating microwaveable foods in large quantities, not washing the dishes until absolutely necessary, and leaving the television turned on at all times for ‘background noise’. Not that I consider Fashion TV ‘background noise’ – it’s more like a religion! – but you catch my drift. It happened to be quite the convenient time to be tuned in 24 hours a day with New York fashion week under wraps, as well. I like to think my parents strategically planned their trip to coincide with post-fashion week just for my benefit. Wouldn’t that be oh so considerate of them?
In honour of this momentous event in the fashion industry, I thought I’d dedicate this week to my five favourite collections of Spring 2010. Horray! First stop… Karen Walker!
