Picspam… The Occult
“It didn’t matter in the end how old they had been, or that they were girls, but only that we had loved them, and that they hadn’t heard us calling, still do not hear us, up here in the tree house with our thinning hair and soft bellies, calling them out of those rooms where they went to be alone for all time, alone in suicide, which is deeper than death, and where we will never find the pieces to put them back together.”
~ The Virgin Suicides, Jeffrey Eugenides

I seem to be on a bit of a magical/occult/supernatural binge these days. With Halloween upcoming, I blame it a wee bit. And all the candies I’ve been eating. Yummy. This actually started out as research for school (on atmospheric perspective) and somewhere along the line, I found myself deep in procrastination and glued to WeHeartIt. That place is crack.
Also, on the topic of spookiness, Angie‘s doing a 13 day countdown to Halloween on her blog. I’ve really been enjoying her posts, so I wanted to share. :)
P.S. I hate so much that so many of the pictures in this post have to go uncredited. Unfortunately, most of these are from fashion photoshoots I’ve had saved on my computer for yeeears, and they were saved long before I knew better about crediting. :( If anyone knows where I can credit anything, let me know because I will happily add a link/name/whatever have you.

I love that picture a lot, too. It’s one of my favourites of the bunch, I think. I’m amazed at how the photographer captured the light and detail of the moon. So pretty.
