Last night was unbelievable. It seems like it was all a dream. I woke up this morning and held the concert ticket in my hands again, and it all came rushing back to me.
“My name is Lady GaGa.“
I will forever associate those five small words with a night that was absolutely magical. When I close my eyes, I can still envision every moment of it.

Only blowing my nose 12 times a day, instead of 364.
Writing Christmas cards.
This scene from Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
Caramilk chocolate bars.
Cross-word puzzles with clues about the film Amélie.
Jamming away on the piano and singing at the top of my lunges to Tori Amos.
Sipping soup and pretending you’re in the presence of the Queen.
Making walrus teeth out of the skewers from kabobs.
My brand new and super gorgeous purple dress from Urban Outfitters.
Anxiously waiting for the Lady GaGa concert tomorrow night! So excited! :D
Watching Survivor on television with my mom.
What’s making you feel all warm and squishy inside?

And even though I know he doesn’t read this blog or even know it exists, but happy 20th birthday to my brother! ♥

“I like…boys on swings, and girls on skateboards. I like babies in high chairs. I like pharmaceutical medicine wrappers. I like people in hats with big eyebrows – I like people in hats with big eyebrows and big moustaches. I like water caught in spiders’ webs. I like wearing all my clothes at once. I like people who don’t smile. Ever. And I like people who smile. I like hair that goes on and on. [...] In some ways I love…everything. It’s less…less of a thing than ‘like’…less distinct. Less…particular. I like things that I like but I love everything. There’s more choice than ‘like’. Because even the worst things have things to love in them. I love things so much I feel like I could float away.”

When fairy tales meet interior design, magic happens. Welcome to the wonderfully quaint, dreamy and girlie apartment of Elodie, a Parisian interior architect/designer whose lovely little apartment is the epitome of space small living: it’s only 280 square feet! As a small space fanatic, I was immediately drawn in to see just how she would optimize her space to get the most out of it. And optimize she did! Every nook and cranny is decked out with both aesthetically pleasing, and practical elements that make her space all her own. Her apartment is so wonderfully quaint and dreamy that I’m ready to move in yesterday!

This mix is inspired by Jenaveve’s post about the Hummingbird 100 – a music survey created to embrace the 100 greatest female musicians. And I thought, you know what, I’m a female musician whore, so why not make a mix dedicated entirely to music by female artists (and bands fronted by females). Girl power! So I attacked my iTunes and began compiling a playlist. After going through my entire library, I ended up with close to 100 songs on that mix which is a bit excessive to post, I’m afraid. But it just goes to show that they’re so much talent out there! After much struggling, I managed to narrow that list down to a top 20 to create a mix I like to call…
