It’s hard to believe that 2009 and this decade are already coming to a close! It’s unreal to think back on the Y2K hoopla – that was ten years ago now! For me personally, 2009 has been a year of so many huge changes in almost every aspect of my life, so I thought it would only be fitting to do a small summary of the top 9 things that made me happy this year and made 2009 memorable.

I hope everybody’s having a great holiday season! If yours has been anything like mine, then you’ll understand when I lament that finding even a few minutes of “me time” to log on to the computer has been quite the feat! So unfortunately, this post is coming a wee bit later than I’d planned. But, actually, it works out quite nicely as now it’s just in time for the new year. What better time to celebrate sparkly dresses in all their glittery glory than right before we ring in 2010? Hard to believe the day’s almost upon us! I swear, yesterday was October. It’s as if November and December ceased to exist amidst all the madness of university and holiday preparations. And I just wanted to wish you all and your loved ones a happy Christmas and holiday season! As I alluded to in my Pre-Fall collection Top 10 countdown posti, I found myself with two completely different collections vying for the number one spot on my list. Torn between the pair, I decided instead to award a tie for first place as both were my favourite in their own rights.
The first of these two wonderful collections is bestowed the number one place for being the biggest surprise of the season for me: Versace. I’m not usually a big fan of their designs – simply put, typically, they aren’t my style and don’t fit with my aesthetic – but I was pleasantly surprised with their Pre-Fall collection. I found the neon bright colours refreshing. Considering the times, I think we all need a bold injection of colour to infuse a little extra euphoria into our lives.
