As my computer was in the shop the last couple of days, I was left with nothing to do but sprawl myself out on the floor in front of my television and watch copious amounts of movies! Horrah! One of my favourite pass-times. And of course, I had to pop in an old favourite, Amélie (Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulain).

Enjoying… my few short weeks of summer vacation before they slip away yet again.
Reading… The Piano Teacher by Janice Y.K. Lee. I’ve been such a slacker with reading this year and had initially started this back in January. Appalling, really. But I’ve started setting more time aside to enjoy my old favourite hobby this month. Next on my list is Jane Eyre.
Eating… cinnamon buns by the plenty! It’s hard to resist when they’re freshly baked and smell so tasty!
Painting… my numerous unfinished canvases I plan to hang in my apartment. My previous stance on painting has been less than enthusiastic, but it’s quite enjoyable when you’re not forced into it.
Flying… out to Ontario to visit my parents for a week. I just got home last night, hence this belated post.

Love, thy name is Alphonse Mucha, thy trade is Art Nouveau, and you make the wings of my heart flutter. (And say really lame/cheesy things apparently.) I’ve always been super duper into art ever since I was younger, and I’ve had my obsessive phases with different movements and artists over time, but for some reason, I never quite appreciated the beauty and fluidity of Mucha’s work until about the last year or so.
