As a little girl, I always wanted a canopy bed. It was my ultimate dream piece of furniture. I also really wanted a balcony just like that massive one Princess Jasmine had in Disney’s Aladdin. (For those uninterested in the nostalgia, skip ahead to 1:44.) Seeing, however, that that was totally out of the question and would only ever exist in my fantasy home, I set my sights on a canopied bed.
This is my all-time favourite video. I love it to pieces. Imagine how much you love your dog, or your favourite stuffed animal. No, not quite that much. That would be unhealthy. But almost. The love is up there. ;) The animation style is so full of whimsy, and the characters are so adorable I just want to scoop them all up in a big bear hug. I love the story, too. It’s a super-duper mini-documentary about people’s first crushes. So endearing.
I figured it was high time I posted about the beautiful photography of Anna Inghardt; especially as I’ve used a few of her photographs around the blog on more than one occasion. Not to mention her work is 100% drool worthy. Ever since I stumbled upon her flickr account a few months ago, I’ve been totally smitten with her dreamy world she captures so effortlessly on film. And every time I see she’s uploaded a new photograph, my heart skips a beat. Very rarely do I find myself in awe of every single piece of work one singular person produces, but such is the case with Anna Inghardt. She has one of the very, very select few (so few, I can count them all on both of my hands and still have fingers left over) Flickr accounts that I’m subscribed to in my RSS reader, and one of an even selecter group of people who’s work I’m completely gaga over time and time again.
