4th January 2010 in Photography

I figured it was high time I posted about the beautiful photography of Anna Inghardt; especially as I’ve used a few of her photographs around the blog on more than one occasion. Not to mention her work is 100% drool worthy. Ever since I stumbled upon her flickr account a few months ago, I’ve been totally smitten with her dreamy world she captures so effortlessly on film. And every time I see she’s uploaded a new photograph, my heart skips a beat. Very rarely do I find myself in awe of every single piece of work one singular person produces, but such is the case with Anna Inghardt. She has one of the very, very select few (so few, I can count them all on both of my hands and still have fingers left over) Flickr accounts that I’m subscribed to in my RSS reader, and one of an even selecter group of people who’s work I’m completely gaga over time and time again.

Simplicity and ethereal are the two words that first come to mind when I think about her work. Her photographs seem to capture a small gem of a moment here and there in an ordinary day. Nothing extravagant, nothing over-orchestrated. Just a spontaneous click of a button and something as simple and effortless as an un-made bed, or kitten’s paws resting in her lap becomes a magical work of art.

All images property of Anna Inghardt.

Love! This is pretty much all that has come into my head with these photographs, so pretty. I like it when photographers bend the rules and create art. Her photos are like being in a dream, slightly hazy and dull colours, like when you just wake up and you’ve not entirely sure what is going on or where you are.

Exactly! It’s this kind of photography that makes me wish I had any sort talent in that vein. How do they make it look so easy and here we all are struggling to even use the zoom button? XD

Oohh, very pretty and ethereal. I like the one of the charm bracelet, mainly cause it reminds me of my own charm bracelet with the Eiffel tower and other Parisian monuments.

I completely understand wht you mean about her photos. They seem to give you thought out of a simplistic picture. She turns a small moment into beautiful art. I love the faded look she gives it.
