Head Over Heels In Love With… Edition VIII (part 2)

I realize I only just posted a Head Over Heels entry on Tuesday, but I had so so many things that I’m madly in love with at the moment, that they ended up spilling over into a second post. Voila, part 2!

Mia Wasikowska Mia Wasikowska
Mia Wasikowska
Because I feel a girl crush forming… she’s so lovely. I really enjoyed watching her in Alice in Wonderland (2010) and Amelia (wasn’t expecting her there, so it was a pleasant surprise!).

(And on the topic of Alice…)

Especially the white ones
This illustration with a quotation from Alice in Wonderland (2010)
Because it is the definition of me. To a tee. Wish I knew where it came fromi because I would buy a print of this.

Hand-Blown Glass Chandelier
Hand-Blown Glass Chandelier (via Jean Pelle)
Because these are so whimiscal! They remind me of blowing bubbles out in the front yard when I was young. (A cherished childhood memory.) Apartment Therapy posted about a DIY version that I may just have to have a go at this summer in my apartment decorating extravaganza.

Ruche Desktop Wallpaper My Desktop
Desktop Wallpapers from Ruche
Because I’m more productive when surrounded by pretty things. Or perhaps not because I spent a good 20 minutes trying to decide which I wanted to use for my laptop. I’m currently using the books (above, bottom), but that could change at any moment.

Apartment Therapy Small Cool 2010 Apartment Therapy Small Cool 2010
‘Lindsay’s Little Box’ Apartment Tour (via Apartment Therapy’s Small Cool 2010 contest)
Because this is such a wonderful use of a teeny, tiny apartment. At only 350 sq. ft., she’s created an effortlessly airy, calming and spacious looking space for herself. As a future small space residentii, I’m very impressed!

Rivini Rivini
Rivini Rivini
Rivini Bridal Collection
Because these dresses are so lovely and elegant! One girlish squeal over here, please. ;) I’m not one of those girls who plans out her wedding from childhood or anything, but I might have to change my ways. I’ve saved the last image (bottom right) for inspiration for my (very distant) future wedding. I ADORE that dress so much. Especially the little rosebud shrug. Prettiness! (Swooning like woah over the architecture of the set, too.)

Popsicles by Emily Forland
This popsicle illustration by Emily Forland
Because popsicles are yummy and the epitome of summer! And I like rainbow colours. This just makes me smile. A lot.

Flamingo Wallpaper
Flamingo Wallpaper (from Cole and Son)
Because it just screams funky and fun! No lies, this wallpaper was the inspiration behind my final design project for one of my classes this semester. Who’d have known pink flamingos and academia were destined to be together?

Susie Cowie Embroidery
Susie Cowie Embroidery (found via Kris Atomic)
Because I have a fascination with embroidery. And her work is incredible! (She worked on Bright Star and The Young Victoria – how awesome is that?) Call me crazy/ridiculous/delusional, but I have this strange idea to embroider part of my sofa…

Sretsis S/S 2010 Sretsis S/S 2010
Sretsis Spring/Summer 2010 “Make Your Heart Melt” Collection (Images via WikiFashion)
Because this collection is so pretty and girlie! I love that (almost) everything is named after flowers. And look at those scalloped edges – to die for. And those darling sunglasses! So sweet and feminine and youthful and just pure loveliness. This collection makes me so happy and it makes me long for summer even more than usual. I’m coveting pretty much this entire collection.

  1. Found it via a Tumblr search and no source was given. Bummer. :( (»)
  2. My new apartment is just over 500 sq. ft.! (»)

Yes, your Mia love knows no bounds! haha But when someone is so lovely, why not, I say. :D

I didn’t draw the rabbit. Wish I did though because he’s adorable! I just found that randomly on Tumblr and no source was given which makes me a bit sad because I love it so much and I would have loved to know the illustrator.

Happy weekend to you too! ♥

That embroidery work is beautiful! I have always wanted to learn how to embroider…

I thought you already did embroider. Or no, now I think about it, you did cross stitch. I’m sure the skills would transfer though. :)

Dear Krissy,
I continuously love your “Head Over Heels” editions, because they’re always so light and airy and lovely. I hope you don’t mind that I stole the book desktop from Ruche for myself as well (too pretty!) and I totally also smiled at the popsicle painting. It also made me drool a little, woops.

(So so late, oh my god… I’m awful. XD)

Anyhow, this comment makes me so happy! When I read it the first time, I was beaming like a moron. Seriously. I probably gave that joker dude a run for his money.

Krissy » April 23rd, 2010

Thanks, Zmaga! I have a lot of fun compiling them, so I’m glad others like them too. :D I’m a compulsive procrastinator, so in my procrastinating, I browse the net. A looot. It’s probably unhealthy. haha.

Oo, if you attempt the chandelier, you’ll have to let me know! I’d be curious to see how it turns out. :D I’d love to try it myself, but I’m weary… I’m not good with handy-work and that sort of thing. I’d be scared of frying myself. haha

So much prettiness! Once again.
I wasn’t one to plan out my wedding as a child either, and right now I’m not sure I ever want to get married but that doesn’t stop me from thinking that that bridal collection is absolutely stunning.
And depending on the design and positioning of the embroidery, I think it would look really adorable/pretty on a sofa.

Popsicles!
Haha, that’s pretty much all I have to say.
True story: I lost my first tooth while eating one of those red, white & blue ‘rocket’ popsicles. I was like ‘why is there a nut in here that’s gross’. LOL little Katherine.
