I ♥ Pink

If my previous few posts haven’t been evidence enough for you, I seem to have been bitten by a sort of ladybug.i Because all things girlie? They have taken possession of my body, mind and soul. Pastels, ruffles, florals, and all manner of super girlie things are my latest obsession. And most of all, the colour pink. I am completely enamoured with pink at the moment. I don’t know where it came from, but I just can’t seem to get enough of it. So much so, that all I want is lots and lots of pink, every minute of every hour of every day. All the time. Which is odd, as pink was never one of those colours I obsessed over. Not even when I was younger. I was always a blue/purple kind of gal. Now however, consider me tickled pink! Pink has 100% captured my heart. And I like it.

I tend to go through very obsessive phases with my colour loves. I’m not really sure where they come from, but all of a sudden, I’ll find myself madly attracted to one colour and I simply must surround myself with it constantly and I saturate myself full of the colour like a sponge. Perhaps that’s a little bonkers, but that’s just the way I roll. I’ve always been that way. I’m not someone who lingers and has to think on things repeatedly – when it comes to material things, that is. I always know exactly what I want, and when I find it, I know I’ve found the one. I don’t need to search around to see if there’s something better out there, because I know that what I want is what I want. No one else can influence me once I’ve made up my mind. In fact, I picked my prom dress out in 30 minutes. My mom forced me to look around for another few days and through countless more dresses, but I knew it when I saw it. And I bought that dress and contentedly wore it to prom. I still have it, and someday will wear it again. (It wasn’t your typical ‘prom’ dress, so I think it’s very appropriate for other formal events.) Oh, what a wonderful segue I’d be able to make right now had my prom dress been pink. It, unfortunately, was brown, and oh so gorgeous, but that doesn’t really help me now, does it?

Anyhow, I’m rambling a bit aimlessly at this point. The short and the sweet? Pink is an awesome colour and I ♥ it lots right now. How about you? Any colour obsessions at the moment?

I thought I was the only girl who didn’t particularly care for pink when I was younger. Just always preferred light blue. My official favourite colour is this hot intense turqouise colour but if you come to my room you will probably be overwhelmed by how purple everything is. What can I say, it inspires me :)

Nope, you weren’t alone then! I was very anti-pink growing up, and was a blue kind of gal like you.

And not to worry – I LOOOOVE purple, so I would probably be basking in the awesomeness instead of being overwhelmed. :)

Bitten by the ladybug eh :P as usual love this post, the pictures are utterly delightful and I know what you mean, I go through this passion phase for certain things like colors, or movements (Romanticism *cough cough*) And pink is just such a perfect color to reflect this time of year…as the film Funny Face says- “Think Pink!!”

Ah, here’s the promised pink post! :D

I loved pink when I was little, and then I hated it as a preteen (I was all about blue). Now, I really like it though – it’s a color I wear well, and so many cute clothes are pink!

Yes yes, lots of pink to be had! :D

I was not fond of pink growing up, and not really until recently (maybe the last year) was when I started liking it again. I look awful in pastels though so no pink clothes for me. :(

I’ve been smitten with yellow lately. It’s just so bright and cheery. And I think if you’re bitten by something, a ladybug is the way to go. And thanks to these photographs, I now need some strawberry ice cream.

Oo, I do love me some yellow too. I especially like it for interiors paired with grey at the moment.

So much pretty, pretty pink! This post feels very dream-like.
I have phases with things I like too, including colour, but right now, I’m not enamoured with any one in particular.

WeHeartIt has SOOO many beautiful pictures tagged under paint. It’s almost overwhelming. Overwhelming, but awesome. That place is a treasure trove.

Haha, glad the lame ladybug joke wasn’t lost on at least one person. My stupid jokes know no bounds.

I went through a strange couple of years when every sweater I purchased was green. I wouldn’t even realize it until I’d gotten home and pulled it out of my bag and he’d say “Oh, another green sweater.” Yup.

Haha, I’ve done that too. I went through a huge red phase a few years back. I think I’m in a bit of a gray phase clothing wise right now. People are beginning to wonder if I’ve become an Eeyore. :P

Haha, ladybug. I love that:P I am definitely bitten by a ladybug as well:P I love girlie stuff. Simply cannot get enough of it. Those pictures you posted were gorgeous. Especially the one with the ice cream. It looks so good! I also liked the one with “the best things in life”. Very true:) I don’t really have any color obsessions at the moment, but like I said before I am really into the floral patterns at the moment. Everywhere I go I see something with a flower print, and I immediately fall in love.

I never really noticed how incredibly girlie I could be until I started blogging. And it just all came pouring out! Because I honestly did not think I was girlie until recently. Oh dear. XD
I have a mega-crush on all things floral right now too. Scrumcious!

When I saw that picture on your flickr, I wanted to comment and tell you how much I adore it! <3

I usually love the colour grey. It just goes well with every other colour for me. Lately I tried matching it with bright yellow and I was completely sold. :D

:D Aww, thanks dude!

I LOVE YELLOW AND GREY. Sorry, that needed all caps. While I’m super into pink right now, yellow and grey is my colour combo of choice at the moment. I’m planning on decorating my apartment in those colours.
