This Moment… In May 2010

Moving… (finally) back to my beloved Nova Scotia. ♥

Wearing… (at long last) skirts and dresses and shorts and sandals! Horray!

Designing… (or at least attempting to design) my new apartment. Double horray!

Packing, Unpacking, Organizing, and Re-organizing… ad nauseum. This will be my life for the next two weeks.

Mourning… the end of Lost. :( I won’t say anything as I don’t want to spoil the ending for anyone, so I will just say that I liked the ending a lot, and that I will miss this show like crazy.

Completing… my first year of studying towards my interior architecture and design degree.

Celebrating… having all of my glorious books, movies, cds, clothing, etc., etc. back! Horray! It feels like Christmas around here. I haven’t seen some of my things in over a year.

Cherishing… the last few moments spent with my mom. I’ve gotten so used to seeing her every day now, and soon I won’t see her again for a few months.

Looking… forward to seeing all of my friends from out east again. I haven’t seen some of them in close to a year.

Popping… quickly online to add the finishing touches to this post. I’ve arrived out east safe and sound, but have an endless list of things to do! There’s a couple more guests posts coming at you this week, and then I’ll be back in full force. See you all soon. ♥

Things That Made Me Happy This Month…

Sitting on all of the ottomans in the store just for the fun of it.

When the humidity ruins your hair, but it looks good anyway.

Afternoons with loved ones.

Homemade carrot and pineapple cake.

Dogs licking your face.

Walking around barefoot.

Geese. They make funny honking sounds.

Hugs. When you need them the most.

Pretty fabrics! Sparkling sconces! Corian countertops! Whimsical wallpaper! Interior Design = ♥♥♥

When cookies are just the right amount of crunchy.

Hearing the birds chirping while I paint.

This quotation: “Start by doing what is necessary; then do what is possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.

Cute little bunnies that never fail to brighten my day.

Opening the windows for the first time this season and letting in the warm spring air.

When the toaster makes my English muffin crunchy.

Ladybugs that crawl on your fingertips.

Trying to eat yoghurt with my left hand.

Having a clear view of a beautiful rainbow just outside my window. ♥

Pugs. They’re cute.

Being the first person to use the new jar of peanut butter.

Tying things up with string.

Mushing paint around with my fingers.

Quiet moments to myself.

Fiona Apple’s voice. Phone calls from my brother. Cats meowing. The crackling sound of Rice Krispies cereal. Listening to Tchaikovsky’s Romeo & Juliet Fantasy Overture. …that all of these things that made me happy today pertain to sound. ♥

Lots and lots of luck with the move! :)

(Another picture of a bunny? It warrants yet another “awwwww” from me. <3 And I adore that cover of "The Unbearable Lightness of Being", too. It's the best one.)

But of course another picture of a bunny! I really try to contain myself, honestly! It’s so hard not to just post endless pictures of them though. So much cute!

Have fun in Nova Scotia- you’ll be in Canada with me! Albeit, on the other side of the country.

I love your pictures though, and the idea of “things that made me happy this month” – hope the move goes well! :)

It sounds like there are so many awesome big changes going on in your life! Very exciting, all of it. Especially the moving and the being finished with your first year of studying toward your degree. Congrats!! :)

Definitely! Lots and lots of big changes. This entire year has been a year of big change though, so I’m starting to just roll with it. And so far, all good changes so that’s always a plus. :D
