I love a good 365 project as much as the next person. (Cue: A Collection A Day, and my own Daily Mixtape and This Is My Happy Face projects.) I find it endlessly fascinating seeing what artists can create within a single theme for every day of an entire year. Cue no. 2: Photographer Parker Fitzgerald. Instead of the traditional “post a photograph each day”, he includes an inspirational quotation alongside his captures combining the beauty of photography, the elegance of the written word, and a graphic punch courtesy of some crisp typography.

It’s no secret that I’m not a huge fan of summer. For one, I don’t mix well with heat. And I really like wearing socks and sweaters and scarves and leggings and layers upon layers of clothing. My family constantly jokes that I would be right at home in the arctic living in a little igloo with all the penguins. I guess I’m just more of a cold weather kind of girl. That’s not to say that summer doesn’t have its perks. Because, of course, there is always something good with the bad. The good, in this case, being – and excuse me while I temporarily break out into song – those summer nights. Sandy and Danny had it right, ladies and gents.
