I think it’s time for a little cuteness overload. I know what you’re thinking, “Oh god, not more bunnies.” “Enough with the bunnies, already!” “We get it, you’re a bunny obsessed fiend!” Not to worry, this time I come bearing the adorability of another favourite animal of mine… squirrels!

By nature, I’m a very festive person. I love the holidays. All of them, not just Christmas. Yup, I’m that person that wanders around in a state of giddiness for three weeks pre-holiday, and on the actual day, dresses up with a silly costume. As I type this, I’m wearing my light-up reindeer antlers. Totally dorky, but I love them. I love Christmas! I love pretty much everything about it! Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes. Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes. Silver white winters that melt into springs. These are a few of my favorite things. I may not be quite as eloquent about it as Julie Andrews, but these are my favourite things about Christmas.

I’d be fooling no one if I tried to deny winter was my favourite season. I’m a cold weather kind of girl. I love everything about it. One of the things I love most about Canada is that, despite pop culture belief, we experience four seasons. I don’t think I could ever live somewhere that didn’t have winter. It would be a travesty. But you know, the more I think about it, I think I could live somewhere that has perpetual winter. Call me crazy, but I think that sounds dandy. Kind of like this mix. Oh yeah, how’s that for a clever-boring-on-lame segue?

Sing-a-long! Everybody with me now, “Schoooool’s. Out. For. Summer. Winter!” In celebration of my first day of no-strings-attached freedom in a long, long time, I plan to enjoy it to the very fullest! I found the list above on Tumblr a few days ago (during a mini procrastination break, no less), and thought it was just darling; I had to post it, and of course, take part in every activity on the list! It all sounds delightful and like the perfect way to spent a day of relaxation.
A few personal addendum’s to the list…
- Watch Moulin Rouge
- Make myself French toast for dinner (yes, even though it’s technically a breakfast food)
- Paint
- Curl my hair just for the fun of it
- Listen to my favourite tunes
- Paint my fingernails
- Go for a long walk around the neighbourhood
So that’s where I’ll be this lazy Sunday. And how about you? What will your lovely day entail? However it’s spent, I hope you all have a great one! xo.

Oh, please take me away to a wonderful world where homework is a distant thought and anything and everything is as mystical and charming as the deepest corners of my imagination. Wish granted! Enter the oh so fantastical photography of Rosie Hardy. I know I throw around the word “magical” quite frequently here on the blog (but really, there are a lot of really magical-esque things in the world!). But this is probably the one and only time that I’m 500% convinced of something’s magical qualities without any certainty of doubt. I would bet on my life that Rosie Hardy is in fact an actual magical photographer. How else can you explain such other worldly imagery? That secret fairy tale parallel universe that I know exists (just like how the wizarding world of Harry Potter is real and we just can’t see it because we’re all muggles) is what Rosie Hardy captures on film – a bright and sparkling glimpse at something so positively enchanted that it can only have come from another time and place.
