Hope everyone’s having or had – depending on your time zone ;) – a most lovely weekend. Mine’s been pretty eventful complete with my first ever macaron (So delightful! Like a little cloud in my mouth.), smashing my hand in a sliding door (Major ow!), a 2-hour book store adventure (which I wish I could have lived in), and lots of yummy food. And here’s a few lovely little finds from around the net for the last 2-ish weeks:
» Alice shares a list of 5 books that had a profound and lasting effect on her.
» If Indie Bands Covered Disney Songs. Björk, She & Him, Charlotte Gainsbourg… I’d totally buy that album.
» Things to Remember For the Future is the best advice you’ll read in ages. (Manda’s so wise beyond her years.)
» Another week, another fashion design studio tour (I’m obsessed, okay?). This time, Jamie of From Me To You shares the space of Prabal Gurung.
» Architect Barbie. Why wasn’t she around when I was younger? Oh, the adventures we could have had together.
» This week in colour love: pretty gold things (I’m like a moth to a flame) and rainbow (my inner child is squealing with delight)!
» Kelly Smith’s haute couture illustrations for The Hub magazine blow my mind. There’s a reason she’s my favourite illustrator. Wowzas!
» Two beautiful cities in black and white: New York and London.
» Light fixtures to make you weak in the knees. Swoon.
» In a perfect world… your favourite song doesn’t come on the radio when you park, the other sock never goes missing, circles are easier to cut with scissors … etc. etc. Funny and so, so true! (And with little illustrations to boot!)
» Dream house alert! Dream house alert! It may be make believe, but oh, how I wish it were real… and miiiine.
» A little knit + braid inspiration for ya.
» Your menu of options to feeling happier by the end of the day.
Until next time… peace out, girl scouts! xo.
P.S. How fun are these photos? It’s like my life as a kid – pom poms, pipe cleaners and sticker earrings!

But of course! You’re always so thoughtful about everything Alice.
Wouldn’t that be rad? I want a Bjork Disney cover so badly it hurts!! I remember they had a collection of CDs come out when I was in junior high – had a whole whack of popular singers from the day record all of the big Disney hits. I loved those so much.
We shall live there together, I say!
