Don’t worry, your eyes aren’t deceiving you. This isn’t my post from last weekend. Nope, I’m here again baring more gifts in the form of the Valentino haute couture collection. I’m sorry, I just couldn’t help myself. Resistance, as they say, was futile. I’m like a moth to a flame when it comes to pretty dresses that look like they’ve stepped off a cloud. And as I previously declared, this collection is like a fairy tale dreamland. Thank you, Valentino fairy godmother. You’ve made my wishes come true. As if my first photo dump of beautiful backstage and beauty photos weren’t enough, you’re in for a real treat: more! Yay! (Or maybe only yay for me?) The difference this time, however, is that I’ve stumbled upon some incredible backstage photos, and they were just TOO gorgeous not to share. If you thought the collection was beautiful on its own, just you wait until you see it through the eyes of this photographer! Holy cow…

Hot off the press: new found photographer crush. Unfortunately, I don’t know much about the photographer aside from their Flickr username – Molnillusion – but that adds to the mystery and beauty of their work, I find. In any case, it’s what’s in front of the camera that’s blowing my mind. I find it incredibly hard to believe that I’ll be sitting in a movie theatre in a little under 15 hours seeing the final film installment of the Harry Potter series. I haven’t really come to terms with that yet. It just seems unreal. Despite all of the hoopla surrounding photo calls, press conferences, etc. etc., it just hasn’t sunken in to me yet. Around 2:30AM tomorrow morning, I’ll have seen all there is to see. There will be no more. I refuse, however, to accept this as “the end”. Because it’s not. Harry Potter will never end in my eyes. It will live on forever and ever in our collective hearts and imaginations. I’m so happy to have been a part of this, and I know I will look back fondly for the rest of my life on these past however many years, and the wonderful friends and memories that have come out of it. On that extremely mushy and much-too-sentimental-for-its-own-good note, consider this my teeny, tiny tribute to that magical place which captured my heart so many years ago: Hogwarts.

“Perched atop a high mountain [...], its windows sparkling in the starry sky, was a vast castle with many turrets and towers.”
