14 May 2012 in Editorials

Oh, Magdalena, you beautiful, beautiful creature, you. Shot by Ben Hassett waaaay back for the January edition of Vogue Germany, I’m still smitten by this editorial months later. Magdalena Frackowiak reels me in with her movements and that hair! Wowzers. It’s like it’s come alive. With the photos shot in black and white, it makes the set even more striking. I have a thing for simplicity, and this is simplicity at its best: luscious locks in grey scale. Dig it.

Oh, the hair envy!

I absolutely have hair envy too! I mean, just look at all those gorgeous curls all over the place. I think that’s what happens when you’re born with straight hair — you long for the spirally locks. But her hair is particularly epic. Sigh…

I hear ya. As someone with naturally straight hair, what I wouldn’t give for beautiful curls! Funny story, I got my hair permed when I was in 8th grade. Baaaaad idea. haha. It seemed like a good idea at the time since it got me the curly hair I wanted, but oh, did it ruin my hair forever onward. The things we do, right? ;)

Hair envy, no joke! That last image is ridiculous — I absolutely love it. Great photography, wow.

It’s ridiculous in the best possible way, isn’t it? Hard to believe gorgeous hair like that exists. So jealous.
