What’s black and white and pink all over? The abstract art work of Fede Saenz, that’s what! And I’m a total smitten kitten for it. I adore the limited colour palette (black and white obsessee in the house, what whaaaat?), the movement of the pieces as a whole, their size (guys, they’re HUGE – 4′-0″ x 5′-6″! I love that!), and, of course, I’m the smittenest of the smitten kittens for a good mixed media mash-up. Acrylic, graphite, spray paint, pastel? Yes, yes, yes and yes. Plus, they’re just plain fun. From the bold fluorescent signature pink, to the playful shapes and lines (and splotches! Love me a good splotch.)… I’m both mad with painterly envy and exploding with inspiration!

I don’t usually like abstracts, but I love these. Maybe it’s the color palette?
