I stumbled upon this incredible book store+cafe. I don’t know much about it, but I know I love it. I cannot read the language of the blog I found it on, which is terribly depressing as I so desperately wish I knew more! I need to know more. From the images alone though, I feel pretty confident in saying this is my kinda space. It appears to be a converted church/cathedral and so is blessed with absolutely stunning inherent architectural features. Beautiful vaulted ceilings and archways, intricate paned glass windows, and the elegance and grandeur that such an historic building commands. Throw in a hint of modern architecture, a sea of books and a quaint little cafe, and I’m sold. Wherever you are in the world, amaaaazing cathedral-turned-book store+cafe, would you please reveal yourself to me, and oh, maybe let me camp out among the book stacks for a few hours/days?
Update: Thanks to Jessica for pointing out the store, Selexyz Dominicanen, located in Maastricht, Netherlands. It’s official: they have the best stuff in the Netherlands.
