This is the Sugamo Shinkin Bank in Tokyo, Japan. It’s the coolest (looking) bank of all time. Let me tell you why:

1. It’s rainbow. Nothing beats rainbow. Ever.

2. In addition to the aforementioned rainbowness, it also is white and shiny. Shiny as in awesome, and shiny as in… well, shiny, reflective, kind of glossy looking in that ultra-modern sort of way.

Another day, another house/apartment/studio crush. That’s the circle of my life right there. (Cue song somewhat re-mixed from The Lion King.i) I tend to fall hard, fast, and often. And it’s happened again. This time, I’m mad crushin’ on the Stockholm attic studio of interior designer Jimmy Schönning. Deep in the depths of my heart, I’m a little Marie Antoinette in the making. Give me organic, flowing curves, gold gilded surfaces, chandeliers dripping with crystals, and ice creamy shades of pink, mint and robin’s egg blue. Yuppers, give me a big scoop of 18th century French architecture any day and I’ll eat it right up and demand seconds Oliver Twist style. Please sir, may I have some more?

Probably over a good solid month ago now, Harriet posted about her visit to a frozen yoghurt shop called Snog. I was so intrigued by the bits of the interior poking through in her photos, I just had to look them up on the web in hopes of seeing more. Lucky for me, their website was filled with photos of the design of a handful of their locations. Yay! And, oh, things were about to get gooood. More yay! Behold… This is the sort of commercial design that makes me positively giddy with excitement.
