9th March 2012 in Colour, Photography

For my long-time readers and blog buddies, it’s very easy to associate me with white. I love white. It’s my colour soul mate. If I were to live with one colour for the rest of my life, white would be it. Despite this oh so profound love affair, I do love me some bright colours without a doubt. You see, white is my obsession, but rainbow is my favourite colour. White or all the colours, that’s how I like it folks.

This is all just a long winded, and slightly off-topic/rambley, way to say that I’m majorly, majorly, super duper in love with these delicious looking tarts in all the shades of the Pantone rainbow. Check yes for mouthwatering. Check yes for rainbow lovin’! I’ll have a 7492c and a glass of orange juice, please and thank you.

Once every four years, everyone gets an extra day for free.” How did you use yours? On February 29th, the trio behind An Extra Day started and finished their own creative leap day project: go forth and explore London, meeting and photographing 24 strangers. Their efforts are documented on the website An Extra Day showcasing each no-longer-a-stranger‘s picture and their story. How’s that for making the most of the every day?

Isn’t this nifty? Oneighty Creative, a design and branding collective, created this enormous photograph as a means to show their clients, visually, how their creative process of designing a brand identity is put together start to finish. Start to finish, top to bottom, end to end… this is just plain cool! I love how they’ve turned something abstract into this sort of visual mind map documenting step by step their methodology – as they say, “a sort of mad hatter’s tea party feel, creating order out of chaos”. Absolute brilliance!

I really like these photos by eliric done in Photo Booth. (They’re bunnies; of course I would.) Bunnies aside though, I just think they’re all sorts of awesome wrapped up in a pita. They’re cute and kooky. Floating mirror-image creepily merged hands holding fluffy white bunnies? Why not! It’s Halloween month. It could happen.

19th September 2011 in Photography

Bit of a drive by post this morning as I’m a wee bit swamped with projects for university right now. But I only need a quick moment to share this gem with you… the beautiful work of photographer Carlo Van de Roer. His Orb series meets every check point on my current inspiration/obsession list. Minimalism. Simplicity. Water-y aqua green colours. Soft focus photography. Plus he’s popped little bubbles of colour onto each image which I think is super spiffin’. Check it:
