Good evening, lovelies! Just a quick note to say that I’m off to get my eyeballs sliced open like little grapes bright and early tomorrow morning. A.K.A. I’m having lasik eye surgery! I’m really nervous (eek!), but I know it’s going to be SO worth it once its done. I’ll be away from the computer for at least 3 days, if not more, so this is my mini farewell. I have a few posts scheduled, but I probably won’t be back into the swing of things until Tuesday. Think happy eyeball thoughts for me tomorrow. ;) And see you soon. xo.

Oops… it seems I missed my dear blog’s second birthday! How terrible of me. It was on Sunday and I was apparently off in la-la-land gallivanting across the countryside and I completely forgot! Blog, I’m so sorry. How can I ever show my face around these parts again. (Insert dramatic motion of bringing my arm to my forehead here.)
So my apology is two-fold (hah!)… No. 1: Pretty pictures (always), and No. 2: A tribute to the number two. To two, a number which really isn’t all that terrible. In fact, two is quite an amiable number. You might even say, two is better than one.

So… I did something really stupid…
I’ll spare you the details, but in a nut shell: I completely screwed up my archives. All of the images are messed up and missing. It’s not a pretty sight. I freaked out a fair bit at first – after all, I have over 300 entries and have poured countless hours into arranging my posts so just and well, it’s pretty much lost now. So yes, I’m very frustrated and annoyed with myself right now. But, I’m trying not to think about it. All of my entries are still there, mind you, they’re just image-less now. Grr. But I have more important things to worry about right now. I will continue posting as usual, all this means is simply… if you want to read older entries, technically, you still can, but all you’ll get is text, no images. Eventually, I’ll fix them, but for the time being… I’m sorry that you’ll have to suffer through those hideous “Image Not Available” messages from Flickr. :( Right now, my priorities include: final projects (freaking out a little over these!), preparing for my travels to Australia (only a month away!), and making sure all new posts have correctly working images.
On the positive: I didn’t lose everything, so I’m very thankful for that.
And now, I think I need some ice cream so that I can wallow and try to console myself. Then I go about inventing a time machine so I can stop myself from getting into this mess to begin with!!

New blog header. Yay! It’s not a huge change, but I think it’s a major improvement over my old one which was kind of ugly. After searching and searching for an eternity for the perfect font, I finally found one that fit juuust right. I love the new look. For anyone reading in Google reader, Bloglovin’, or whatever have you, here’s a screen cap of the blog looking all pretty. Ooooh! Ahhh!

Screw diamonds, gold is a girl’s best friend! So why this random burst of gold inspiration? To celebrate 2 years of blogging, of course! Yes siree, February 28, 2009, I decided to stop gawking and join in the blogging fun. Cue mini celebration. And like I really needed an excuse to dose the blog in gold head to toe.
