“I’m impossible to forget, but I’m hard to remember.”
~ Claire Colburn (Elizabethtown)
Hi, I’m Krissy. I’m 22 and from Canada. Reading, drawing and playing piano are my life. I also love writing lists (quite obsessively), watching Jeopardy (because I’m a huge nerd), and drooling over the shiny furniture at Ikea (it’s like my mothership). I just graduated in May of 2009 with a degree in Music (minors in English and Art History), and I’m currently studying towards my second degree in Interior Architecture and Design.
Music and art are huge parts of who I am, and are really the inspiration behind this entire blog. Growing up, I was always involved in some form of either.
I’ve studied piano since I was 6 years old and I’m still jamming away quite contentedly. Chopin, Schumann, Debussy, Satie… you name it, I love it. I’m trained classically, though I enjoy delving into jazz for fun, and I also frequently play piano at weddings and other events.
Art has always been one of greatest loves, and while I’m no Michelangelo, that doesn’t stop me. I’ve always been drawing and crafting no matter where I was in life. When I was younger, I used to have these tiny stuffed bunny rabbit toys and I would construct them these elaborate houses made out of construction paper. I would spent hours meticulously designing their mansions right down to their chair cushions and washroom faucets. This really sparked my love for interior design and helped me realize that design was what I most passionate about in the entire world.
I also love a crap load of other really random things which I will oh-so-conveniently list for you starting… now: bunnies, clouds, collages, crossword puzzles, electronica, fashion, ferris wheels, Goldfrapp, interior design, organization, party dresses, pink lemonade, polka dots, shoes, sleepovers, snow, web design, generally cute things, etc., etc.
