There’s an App for that? Probably. There’s a Tumblr for that? Almost certainly. There’s a Tumblr for just about everything under the sun, which is really quite glorious. My latest Tumblr obsession? FuckYeahSketches!, a blog dedicated to troves and troves of sketches. It’s like a giant art-gasm where the sketches go on and on and on for pages and the inspiration is bursting from the computer screen. I could scroll for hours on end. Oops… it seems I missed my dear blog’s second birthday! How terrible of me. It was on Sunday and I was apparently off in la-la-land gallivanting across the countryside and I completely forgot! Blog, I’m so sorry. How can I ever show my face around these parts again. (Insert dramatic motion of bringing my arm to my forehead here.)

So my apology is two-fold (hah!)… No. 1: Pretty pictures (always), and No. 2: A tribute to the number two. To two, a number which really isn’t all that terrible. In fact, two is quite an amiable number. You might even say, two is better than one.

I’m so in love with Marissa Textor‘s art. It’s incredible! So much detail, and I love the drama the greyscale brings to each piece. I also love her focus on nature and geology – lots of animals, rocks, vegetation. Beautiful. But do you want to know the best part? It’s really good, I promise. Mind blowing, in fact. Wait for it…
