I realize I only just posted a Head Over Heels entry on Tuesday, but I had so so many things that I’m madly in love with at the moment, that they ended up spilling over into a second post. Voila, part 2!

Mia Wasikowska
Because I feel a girl crush forming… she’s so lovely. I really enjoyed watching her in Alice in Wonderland (2010) and Amelia (wasn’t expecting her there, so it was a pleasant surprise!).

Because look how beautiful! It takes every ounce of my strength not to buy the lot every time I go to the book store. For the book lovers amongst us … click and lust over the whole collection!

Because I’m addicted to Bulletproof. And Fascination. And Tiger Lily. And… the whole album.

August evaporated before my eyes this year. There was simply so much going on left, right and center for me. Some of it good, some of it bad. And while I’m excited for August to finally come to a close – so I can put the negatives behind me – in a way, I’m also a bit sad. The end of August marks the end of summer’s carefree days, and the return to the structured schedules September brings.
Here are a few things that brightened my spirits during the tougher times August 2009 brought:
1. Peaches
August means the greatest fruit on the planet is in season: peaches! I’ve been scarfing my way through basket after basket with a huge smile on my smile. Deeeelicious!

May 2009 was a fairly relaxed month for me. With no obligations like work or university to worry about, May was the month of “me”. It was the month I finally got to sit back and relax after all the hard work that has kept me on my toes around the clock (and calendar!) for the past 3 years. I forgot how wonderful it was to sleep in, spend the day in pajamas with no reason to get dressed, curl up in bed at 3:oo in the afternoon with a good book (of my choice!) and read well into the evening. In addition to these simple delights, here are 10 more things that made me happy in May 2009. :)
1. Anthropologie
I’ve found shopping bliss. I’ve been eying the gorgeous dishes, accessories, bedding, dresses, and various other trinkets Anthropologie has to offer on their website for months in anticipation of finally getting to physically enter their store (unfortunately, they aren’t in Canada much to my dismay). In my recent trip to Arizona, I spent almost an entire afternoon ogling all the pretty things. 300$ later… I exit with a set of tea cups (below left), a pair of earrings (below right), a hoodie, a summer dress, and a journal. Woops. Hey, I was on vacation and the pretty was calling to me! (As were the sale racks.)
