Sometimes you just need to look at pretty things. And I just can’t take my eyes off Jill Stuart’s spring 2012 collection. It’s just so pretty. Sweet. Simple. Lovely. Feminine. Nostalgic. Darling. Choose your adjective. Further evidence that I’m a total girly girl. This collection oozes ice creamy shades, minimalistic shapes, with a hint of a doll-like aesthetic. Sign me up. Girl crush + house crush = Erin Fetherston and her charming little apartment. Swoon.
Everything about her style is so pretty and soft. The textures are lovely, the muted pastel tones are a dream. The space perfectly represents her and is so very much in sync with her design aesthetic as the whole. Plus, how eloquently does she describe what the space illustrates: “I see it as a reflection of my creative universe. It’s romantic and chic, but clean and modern.” I wholeheartedly agree with this. Body, mind, soul, imagination, right? That’s the recipe.

I’m sooo in love with this lookbook of Rodarte for Opening Ceremony. I want the images plastered all over my walls like wallpaper, that’s how much I love it. It was love at first sight, and as I kept scrolling through all the images, I kept thinking, “That’s my favourite! No, that one! Oh, look at that one! No wait, this one!” You all know I already seriously struggle with editing down images and picking only a handful. Just try and imagine the anguish I felt here. I basically had to result to eeny-meeny-miney-mo when it came time to compile this post.

I’ve long admired the beautiful work of fashion designer Katie Ermilio. She wins me over time and time with her impeccable taste and tailored looks. Her designs are very timeless and elegant. Her fall 2011 collection, of course, not only meets my expectations, but far exceeds them. I think this is my favourite of hers yet!
