Don’t worry, your eyes aren’t deceiving you. This isn’t my post from last weekend. Nope, I’m here again baring more gifts in the form of the Valentino haute couture collection. I’m sorry, I just couldn’t help myself. Resistance, as they say, was futile. I’m like a moth to a flame when it comes to pretty dresses that look like they’ve stepped off a cloud. And as I previously declared, this collection is like a fairy tale dreamland. Thank you, Valentino fairy godmother. You’ve made my wishes come true. As if my first photo dump of beautiful backstage and beauty photos weren’t enough, you’re in for a real treat: more! Yay! (Or maybe only yay for me?) Hello, hello, from your friendly neighbourhood couture fanatic. (A.K.A. moi.) True to form, I’m dropping in to share my seasonal dumping of prettiness from fashion week. My collection of choice this round: Valentino. I looooooove. Or rather, j’adorrrrrre. Absolutely gorgeous from head to toe. Emphasis on the “head” especially this time around, because, hello there pretty hair, crowns and make-up. And everything else too, obviously, because this collection is the master of the pretty with its subtle, shimmering bits; soft, flowing fabrics; pale whites, and muted turquoises and lavenders; and general weightlessness. True to form, the combination of said things equals the path to my heart. Add in some metallics and a bit of a medieval flare, and that sounds pretty dandy to me!
