I realize I only just posted a Head Over Heels entry on Tuesday, but I had so so many things that I’m madly in love with at the moment, that they ended up spilling over into a second post. Voila, part 2!

Mia Wasikowska
Because I feel a girl crush forming… she’s so lovely. I really enjoyed watching her in Alice in Wonderland (2010) and Amelia (wasn’t expecting her there, so it was a pleasant surprise!).

Watching… copious amounts of movies! It’s been a bit of a movie marathon month. A few favourites include Brothers, Elvis & Anabelle, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Shutter Island, and Alice in Wonderland (2010).
Puppysitting… my aunt and uncle’s dog again! She’s the most adorable thing ever, and I love her to death. She’s my new BFF. ♥
Wondering… as I frequently do, what the best category on Bloglovin’ is for this blog. I never know! None of the categories are exactly what I want, so I stick with “Design”… but it doesn’t feel right. Thoughts anyone? What would you categorize this blog as? I’m drawing a complete blank.
Eating… yummy fruit trifle. Delicious!
Listening… repeatedly to the new Goldfrapp and She & Him albums. Both are amazing! ♥

Time for a great, big, lovely videos dump! I haven’t gushed over recent favourites in a long, long time and for some reason, there seems to be quite the plethora building up in my bookmarks folder. So sit back, put your feet up, nibble on some popcorn if you will, and enjoy the mini-movies!

She & Him: In the Sun
I don’t think I need to say how much I’m looking forward to Volume II. It’s basically a given, and I’m so so excited for its release. I also don’t think it needs saying that Zooey Deschanel is about the most adorable person on the face of the planet. And She & Him are just plain awesome, another given. This video? Continuing on with the awesome and adorable and bringing it to new heights. You don’t have to like their music (but you should!) to appreciate how endearing this video is. It puts a huge smile on my face every time I see it.

The modeling world’s “12 brightest stars” gracing French magazine’s cover
Because rainbow has never looked better. Neither has anything else, to be perfectly honest.

… or a lot belated, I suppose since even though the Academy Awards were only a little over 2 days ago, they seem like old news already. But Sunday/Monday is my busy period as that’s when each module for university ends for me. All of my assignments are due on Monday nights, so I’m always consumed with editing, adding, and adjusting to perfection late into the night.
Excuses aside though, I quite enjoyed the Oscars on Sunday night. While I adore seeing movies, I’m far from an expert on them, and I very rarely see enough of the nominees to be able to make any educated picks on who will take home the prize. So I just cheer on the movies I like. And drool over the pretty dresses. Since the first isn’t such a promising idea (nothing I was rooting for won… sad face), let’s take a step back to the pretty dresses and to my five personal favourite looks of the evening. I don’t expect everyone to agree with me (I’ve seen some of my picks pop up on worst dressed lists). But that’s fashion - it’s subjective. Some may tend more towards the traditional ball gown, while I like to see something a little more fashion-forward and avant-garde.

Diane Kruger in Chanel
Honestly, she can do no wrong in my eyes. She always looks like perfection. I noticed most people put this on their worst dressed list, but I’m choosing to ignore that. I fell in love with this dress the first time I saw it on the Chanel runway, and I’ve been DYING to see someone wear it to a red carpet event. Diane did it justice and looked flawless.
