For my long-time readers and blog buddies, it’s very easy to associate me with white. I love white. It’s my colour soul mate. If I were to live with one colour for the rest of my life, white would be it. Despite this oh so profound love affair, I do love me some bright colours without a doubt. You see, white is my obsession, but rainbow is my favourite colour. White or all the colours, that’s how I like it folks.
This is all just a long winded, and slightly off-topic/rambley, way to say that I’m majorly, majorly, super duper in love with these delicious looking tarts in all the shades of the Pantone rainbow. Check yes for mouthwatering. Check yes for rainbow lovin’! I’ll have a 7492c and a glass of orange juice, please and thank you.

Oops… it seems I missed my dear blog’s second birthday! How terrible of me. It was on Sunday and I was apparently off in la-la-land gallivanting across the countryside and I completely forgot! Blog, I’m so sorry. How can I ever show my face around these parts again. (Insert dramatic motion of bringing my arm to my forehead here.)
So my apology is two-fold (hah!)… No. 1: Pretty pictures (always), and No. 2: A tribute to the number two. To two, a number which really isn’t all that terrible. In fact, two is quite an amiable number. You might even say, two is better than one.

Bonjour mes belles. I have fallen en amour with those delectable little treats we know as macarons. I’m kind of obsessed.
Confession: before I came to Australia, I’d only admired them in the beautiful photographs I’d seen around the internet, and rolled in great, great envy of those who could get their hands on these delicious baked sweets. Oh, but how that situation has been remedied! A few weeks ago, at my new favourite cafe/bakery, I tasted my very first macaron. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but it was love at first bite. Lame pun intentional. I’m pretty much in love with them. And now that I’ve actually had a few (and by a few, I mean oh… perhaps a dozen… self control, I do not have you when it comes to baked goods), I feel justified in doing a ginormous macaron inspiration explosion. Fortunately, or perhaps unfortunately since I could spend hours searching, there is no shortage of beautiful and mouth-watering macaron pictures to be found online. Grab your napkins! You’re about to drool.
