Things That Make Me Happy… In January 2010

Masked Home is where your cat is

Birman cats.

Listening to music I haven’t listened to in a long, long time and falling in love with it all over again.

Bright Star. ♥ Again. (Why yes, I am obsessed!)

Cliched sailor-style tattoos.

The colour magenta.

Christmas lights that are still on in the middle of January.

Brilliant ideas in the middle of the night.

Homemade blueberry muffins fresh from the oven when the tops are still crunchy.

Snow! (Snow never gets old in my books, and is always happiness inducing.)

Receiving a response to a message I sent Coco Rocha. “Oh you’re sweet. I’ll tweet about it after 7pm! Xoxo” Saving that forever!

Eating so many Sweet Tarts your tongue becomes tingly for hours.

Discovering my Dad also likes Natalie Portman.

What made you feel all warm and squishy inside this month?

Decluttering

“Do not covet your ideas. Give away everything you know, and more will come back to you… The problem with hoarding is you end up living off your reserves. Eventually you’ll become stale. Somehow the more ideas you give away the more comes back to you.”

Snow. Lots and lots of snow. The kind you can make snowmen out of.

Baking brownies and using the sifter to sprinkle powder sugar on the top.  (Eating the brownies is also a plus.)

Left over spring rolls. They’re better when they’re mushy.

My new crown earrings from Sophie. (I’ve been wearing them ever since I opened the gift wrap yesterday.)

Playing ‘hide the stuffed toy skunk’ with my brother.i

Curling up in bed and watching The O.C. reruns.

Starting NaBloPoMo!

Games of Chinese Checkers.

Learning about brussell sprouts.
