The number one thing on my current list of lusts is Kate Spade New York’s inspiration-board feature turned book Things We Love. The Kate Spade brand is ever charming, feminine, vibrant, whimsical and even a little bit flirtatious as can consistently be noted across their fashions, accessories, and even their delightful web extras housed at katespade.info. Really, check that website out. It’s filled with novel and inspiring little tidbits – like the fun little e-Valentines they featured in February (I posted about those, too), or their seasonal “Things We Love” pin-up board containing an array of miscellaneous items that were the subject of the creative team’s inspirations at that given time. The latter of which is what inspired what appears to be a most charming and delightful little book bursting at the seams with inspiration. A quick peek into the folds of said book can be seen below.

Film
There are no spoilers in this post for Deathly Hallows Part I! Though I have read the book and know what happens, I still do not want to know what happens in the movie, so please do not share anything about the film, even reactions. I don’t want to know if it was good or bad, whether you liked it or didn’t. I’m sure others reading this post will appreciate this as well. Thanks in advance. :)

It’s almost Deathly Hallows day! This probably means nothing to you if you aren’t a Harry Potter fan, so I apologise in advance. But I’m super excited, and a tad saddened, about the first installment of the final film that’s out tomorrow. Excited to see the wonders of the final book brought to life on film (I’m still reeling from seeing the exhibit back in May. I was completely awestruck.), but also sad knowing that this is the beginning of the end of the film series. I’ll miss having something new and shiny (and magical!) to look forward to. Though I will always cherish the books and the movies. In a way, I grew up with these books/movies, so they’re very dear to me. And while I prefer the story lines of the later novels, the first in the series captures a special sort of magic for me, I think because it starts to lay down the groundwork of the mythology of the series. For that very reason, The Philosopher’s Stone holds an extra special place in my heart.

Procrastination interlude! So much for staying away from the blog so I could focus on school work. But midterm projects just aren’t done right without serious procrastination and breaking of your own rules.
That said, onward to ten things I’m lusting over so badly I’m weak in the knees…

Transparent Boots
Because they’re just downright amazing and I want/need them in my life.
(For once, a fashion lust that would actually be practical since I’m severly lacking in rain appropriate footwear.)

Marc Jacobs Resort 2011 Collection (and in particular, these 3 looks)
Because polka dots are always the way to my heart. As are super girly dresses.
