I couldn’t resist! I’ve been holed up with my school work for so long that the only real connection to the outside world I’ve had is through music. I listen to music every day and I couldn’t imagine my life without it.
Anyhow, I wanted to point the spotlight on an album that I’m madly in love with at the moment (even though I’ve already gushed a bit in a previous post, and those who follow me on Twitter will have seen further gushing there as well): Sia’s new album We Are Born. The obsessive love has gotten to the point where I just constantly play this album over and over and over again. It’s one of the only albums I’ve been listening to in the last month. It’s hard to feel sorry for neglecting the rest of my iTunes though when an album is this wonderful.

Listening… (and quite obsessively, might I add) to the new Sia and Stars albums. Both have been on constant repeat in iTunes the entire month. I can’t tear myself away from them!
Cooking… myself the most delicious shrimp and snow pea pasta. Perhaps there’s hope for me and my cooking skills yet.
Hanging… pictures on my walls. My apartment is slowly looking less like a disaster zone and more like a home. Once I get all my furniture, I promise I will post pictures.
Wearing… my favourite black and white ikat skirt. I love it so and wear it perhaps a little too often.
Anticipating… August 11th, the end of my summer semester and the beginning of 2.5 glorious school-free weeks. I can’t wait!

Because it’s ridiculously adorable and filled with lots of cute little fashion-y bits and bobs!
(And it’s a bajillion times more awesome at full size.)

Playing… my brand new piano! I love it to pieces. I’ve also found a tonne of Regina Spektor, Fiona Apple and Tori Amos sheets online that I’ve been playing night and day.
Drinking… peach iced tea and pink lemonade by the gallon. The perfect summer refreshments!
Falling… more and more in love with my city every day. ♥
Listening… to lots and lots of Trespasser’s William. Their music is positively divine. See exhibit A: Lie in the Sound, B: Alone, and C: Weakening. I’ve also been listening to lots of Peter Broderick, The Postal Service, Death Cab for Cutie and Charlotte Gainsbourg this month.
Spending… every free minute I can spare in the company of friends.

Every once in awhile, I like to compile a random mix of songs that suit a feeling or mood for one particular day. While I have hundreds of different playlists in my iTunes, there are days when not a single one of them is ‘right’. Like having a closet full of clothes, but nothing to wear. And so, this little mix was born to fill that musical void I was having today.
